    Locomotive operating efficiency study

Principal directions for increase of locomotive operating efficiency are determined in the article based on statistical estimates as per data on the main domestic locomotive series. Work ratio is suggested as universal indicator. It is demonstrated that in addition to locomotives' reliability enhancement, increase of the trains' haulage management system efficiency is also a large reserve. It is proven that the number of locomotive units can be reduced at least by 2,000 thous. units.

Improvement of the testing method of current collectors of electric rolling stock considering collision impacts

The article is devoted to the improvement of the testing method of current collectors of electric rolling stock considering collision efforts from the overhead catenary. The article discusses the features of collision effects on pantographs of electric rolling stock at high speeds. An analysis of the existing methods for testing collision effects on pantographs in laboratory installations and in linear conditions has been carried out. The analysis is carried out and the drawbacks of the percussion pendulum installation for testing current collectors, described in GOST 32204-2013, are identified, and its characteristics are calculated. The design of a shock stand with smaller dimensions and expanded functionality is proposed, and its parameters and characteristics are calculated. When calculating the characteristics of the test bench, mathematical and computer modeling was applied using the MATLAB Simulink environment. The method of bench collision testing using accelerometers and high-speed video camera. It was established that the proposed test bench retains the full functionality of the test facility regulated by GOST, while having smaller dimensions and wider functionality.

Using of aluminum matrix composite materials in the parts of electric railway vehicles current collectors

The work is devoted to the consideration of the possibility of using composite materials with an aluminum matrix in the design of electric transport pantographs. Currently, there is a tendency to increase the speeds of electric transport. This fact requires reliable and high-quality current collection, which can be achieved by reducing the mass of the current collector design, including through the use of composite materials. The possibility of using composite materials in parts and assemblies of current collectors operating under conditions of increased current loads and at high speeds of movement and the mechanical characteristics of the traditional ones used in the carriage design and the composite materials proposed for use are analyzed. The design of a carriage of high-speed electric rolling stock has been developed, in which an aluminum matrix composite material was used as a structural material. Statistical modeling using the finite element method in the SOLIDWORKS Simulation software package was performed. Comparison of the strength characteristics of carriage assemblies made of traditional materials and aluminum matrix composite showed the possibility of reducing their weight in the case of composite use without reducing the strength of structural elements. The static characteristic of the carriage in which the composite material was used coincides with the static characteristic of the carriage made of traditional materials, which confirms the possibility of using an aluminum matrix composite without making significant changes to the carriage design. To evaluate the dynamic characteristics of the composite carriage and its effect on the dynamic characteristics of the pantograph, modeling was carried out using the methods of multibody modeling of SOLIDWORKS Motion. The obtained simulation results indicate an improvement in dynamic characteristics when using composite materials, which has a beneficial effect on the reliability and quality of current collection.

Improvement current collectors monorail transport for high speeds

The article describes the design features of the current collection system of the Moscow monorail and revealed its shortcomings, limiting the possibility of increasing the speed of electric rolling stock. The features of a promising new generation of monorail transport system with increasing speed (up to 150 km / h), the message "city - the airport," which is proposed to use the contact current collection system with flat working surfaces of the current collector and the current lead. The aim of the work was to develop measures and technical solutions for improving the current collectors to provide reliable, cost-effective and environmentally-friendly electric power transmission on board the electric rolling monorail transport systems. The proposed technical solutions have allowed to increase the average life of the contact elements of the current collectors of electric rolling on the active sites of the Moscow monorail from 30 days to 5 months. A preliminary design and manufactured model sample collector rolling device for the new generation of monorail transport system with increased speed. A basic model of the pantograph, which allows to unify all the major components and spare parts for the current collectors of options for different speeds, load current, and other operating conditions and choose the appropriate model, taking into account technical and economic feasibility. The results can be used for the improvement of existing and development of new designs for current collectors of electric rolling monorail transport systems for the high speeds.

Digitalization of the road transport and railway industries as a key element of the digital economy

This article discusses the directions of digitalization of the transport industry, both in the Russian Federation and in foreign countries. The characteristic of the directions of digitalization of the transport industry as elements of the technological revolution (industry 4.0) is presented. The review of approaches and various digital platforms used for digitalization of the transport industry to identify and analyze the main vectors of development in the field of digitalization of the transport industry. Comparative data on the costs of the digital economy and R&D in Europe, the USA and Russia are presented. The large-scale penetration of digital technologies is shown, both at the managerial level and at the technological level, which in turn allows enterprises to make timely operational decisions during operational activities in order to increase the asset utilization rate, and also allows for the integration of all business processes of the enterprise through the use of IT technologies in the process approach of determining the relationship of business processes, four main directions of digitalization processes in the transport industry are identified The main directions of digitalization processes in the transport industry are highlighted. Examples of the introduction of digital technologies in road and rail transport in Russia and the world are given. The work of local digital information platforms in a single digital platform of the transport complex is reviewed. The advantages of using digital information platforms are shown. A model of a unified digital transport business-logistics ecosystem is proposed.

Organizational and technological parameters of operation of bearing railway track machines cyclic action

The models of complex organizational and technological parameters of operation of liner-straightening machines cyclic action on the example of the VPR-02 and VPRS-02 using a probabilistic assessment of the reliability of their work. For her study conducted two etapa checks: logical and mathematical. After sampling in accordance with GOST 8.207-76 inspect it belongs-rise normal distribution using Pearson's chi-squared test. Next calculated reliability and risk completion of the planned scope of work machine systems, complexes, components and individual machines in the planned period of time. The models are based on actual field tests of databases, technical and economic indicators of machines, components and systems in real operating conditions. This model optimizes track works with a given reliability at stave-builder, all kinds of repair and current maintenance of railway track. And also give the opportunity to the WHO-define more rational modes of operation of track machines for you, edits, tamping and straightening the railway line, thereby increasing pa O-workings of these machines. They enable organizations operating these machines more reasonably expect the required number of cars processes track works, their cost and labor. The proposed method models quantify the technical reliability of the liner-straightening machines; allow predicting the main complex organizational and technological performance of a particular machine at the design stage of technological processes track works. This method is versatile and can be used to evaluate the technical reliability of any machine systems, components and separate machines.

Substantiation of factors affecting the technology of contrailer transportation

Intermodal transportation management is a complex and responsible process. When carrying out international and intercontinental contrailer transportation, rail transport is traditionally used. The task of railway transport is to ensure transportation along the so-called «land bridges» - land sections where the route begins or ends, or through which it passes in transit. Despite a significant level of computerization and informatization, the level of delays in the delivery of goods in the field of contrailer intermodal transportation does not decrease. The unsatisfactory progress of the contrailer trains is a significant factor in the occurrence of these delays. This problem is common, and not only appears before intermodal operators operating the Siberian and Eurasian continental land bridges, which pass through the territory of Russia and Kazakhstan, respectively, and for the delivery of goods from Japan, South Korea and Taiwan to the countries of Eastern Europe. Named problem applies to the American and Canadian land bridges, through which Japanese goods reach consumers in the United States and Canada and through the ports of Germany and the Netherlands to consumers in Western Europe. This situation is due to the lack of effective approaches to the construction of control systems that would demonstrate a high level of efficiency in conditions of uncertainty, which is a natural component of the transportation process.
